this device allows you to cut rolls of tape into custom widths, at 5, 10, 15, 20 mm. I needed this, to work on a paint project, to cover edges of shelves, so they did not get tons of paint on them, before fastening to uprights.
I found this tape cutter, and it worked well.

HOWEVER (as with most things I use), I needed an interim width. I needed exactly 3 / 4 inch, to cover edge of the 3 / 4 inch plywood, and the 15 mm did not do this exactly.

So, I redesigned this, in sketchup, cut it apart, made the sections, and pieced it together. I THEN made a spacer system, most important one being a 2.5 mm spacer, so that it could shift all the cutting by 2.5 mm, so I could get 17.5mm, closer to the 19 mm for 3 / 4 inch board (20 mm would not work, because tape then overhangs on the board, and paint blobs up.
