This is a finder scope for locating the sun with your telescope. It is designed to fit the Telrad finder base. It's in two parts so it breaks down very small for storage when not in use.

There are other Telrad solar finder scopes here, but this one is easy to print without supports.

If you can do a two-color print by changing the filament at the right layer, you can get the nice contrast with the target.

I used PETG.
PLA could soften in the hot sun, so beware.

Just put the "target" piece in the rear Telrad slot and the one with the hole in the front slot.
As pictured above, it's installed in the Telrad Riser, but it also fits in the Telrad base.

Oh, and Never look directly at the sun and Never point your telescope at the sun without an appropriate solar filter over the objective.
