The Bro'hand Modular 3rd Arm

The Bro'hand!

A modular 3rd Arm System that allows an incredible range of motion for building and painting Tabletop Miniatures, Terrain, Scale Models and other DIY Projects that you may require a helping hand with. Printing in heat resistant filaments will allow an even greater range of uses.

This design uses a simple ball socket(s) mechanism for articulation. Invented in the late 1700's, the ball socket is a tried and true method of achieving these desired results.

The custom socket blocks allow fairly simple adjustment of the balls tension using common tools like a slotted (flat head) screwdriver and a pair of pliers. The large base features recesses in the underside to accommodate large steel washers as counter weights. Up to 4 washers, 2 inches in diameter or smaller can be used.
