The Gothic Moon Balloon Keeper is a surreal, Burton-esque maquette featuring a graceful demon woman struggling to hold onto an enormous moon-shaped balloon crafted from twisted rope and cathedral-like Gothic architecture. Her windswept hair and flowing dress give the impression that the moon-balloon is pulling her upward, while she desperately — or playfully — tries to keep her footing on the ornate pedestal carved with Gothic arches and filigree. The sculpture combines dark elegance with whimsical fantasy: a demoness tethered to a floating crescent made of sacred architecture, creating a visual tension between weightlessness and gravity, power and surrender.
