The Kanji Pot is been originally designed to only be a pocket emptier at the entrance of my home. I wanted a japanese looking design but while I was thinking the pot I drifted towards a deeper meaning.I found out that the Kanji symbol “AN” (安) means serenity, peace, tranquillity, calm and safety.The symbol itself is composed by the top (宀 mián) wich means roof, and the bottom (女 nǚ) wich means woman. So picturing a woman in a house it resembles a symbol of safety peace and warmth. That's why I decided to put this particular Kanji at the bottom of the pot, for the moment you enter your house and leave the keys, alongside your personal belongings from your pocket you do it into something that resembles this warm welcome. But I also decided to use the number 7, wich has a moltitude of interpretation, including perseverance, hope and more generally luck. So the pot itself in its geometry, in its height, the circumferences of its shapes has the number seven at its ground, all its measur
