The KRAKEN

'The Kraken' is a depiction of the mythological gigantic squid which destroys unsuspecting ships. This organizer is intended to keep all of your pencils, pens, colored pencils, or markers up and off of your workspace. The design is not only functional but intriguing and a decorative piece to keep on your desk.
The Kraken will hopefully spark the imagination and provide a little bit of extra fun for those tough days at (home)school.

1) The biggest issues I came up against were learning how to accurately model the tortuous, amorphous arm of The Kraken while also keeping the design as a whole refined.
2) If I could redesign this again, I might model the arm to a different position or have it hold several containers. This way I could have a series of these (or even, a series of different animal/monster themed organizers).
3) This would be pretty much impossible to create without a 3D printer. The opportunity to use additive manufacturing allows me to generate this crazy, organic
