This is my assignment for Mathematics through 3D printing at George Mason University. My assignment was to create a Mandelbrot Set or Julia Set. I decided to work with the Mandelbrot Set because I found it interesting and wanted to take a deeper look at it for better understanding.
In this version of a Mandelbrot Set, I used the function z^(3.5) + c, which was a slight modification from the original z^2 + c. After a few tries, and after looking for inspiration, I decided to settle on this pattern because it reminded me of the Batman symbol. This Mandelbrot Set was hard at first because I was having a hard time getting the ListPlot3D command in Mathematica, but after trying a few things I realized that my plot points were too big and making my computer crash. After adjusting the points, everything worked out to form a 3D rendition of the Mandelbrot Set.
This was a very exiting assignment because it was challenging and made me really look up ways to better understand the subject
