The Modular Lantern - Chamfered Edition Medium

The Modular Lantern is designed to change through out the year and embrace experimentation with colours separate to the pattern and many alternative tops, bottoms, shapes and sizes. This is the Chamfered edition in Medium size, the chamfer continues across the tops and bottoms to complete the look. You can print these or use 6mm diameter magnets either 2mm thick with spacers or use 4mm thick ones for extra strength.   This is a Mk3 lantern it includes many improvements after a year of learning there are many subtle features that will come to light as you experiment. It maintains backwards compatibility with many of the Mk2 parts, but please note this is a new Medium size. So only Mk2 LED holders and toppers will fit.    Keep an eye out for many more parts to come over the following weeks as we head through Autumn / Fall and into Christmas. The Core and Base Print the core and the base. Be sure to checkout the customizable bases to securely hold an LED or use a double sided sticky pad (often supplied with LEDs) with the flat one provided here. If using a wired LED thread it through the core base first and then add the base:   Inserts Now print some solid colour inserts with any PLA or PETG. They are simply cubes scaled to 80x120x0.6mm and are included in the profile. This is a core feature of my inserts the colour is separate to the stencil design allowing you to experiment and reuse coloured panels.   Pick your inserts and insert them in front or, if you want a less focused look behind the solid panels. Spacer Now use MagFit clips or magnets to secure the spacer on top. this is actually optional, but I feel gives a good balance. You can add an extra one on the bottom if you want a Polaroid look.
