The "Smart Bird" Feeder 🧠🐦 Where the bird has to be smart, not the feeder! About the Project Welcome to a totally new kind of interactive bird feeder. Instead of relying on complex electronics, this design features a well-engineered, gravity-fed pendulum that acts as a rewarding puzzle for your local wildlife. When a bird lands on the perch, their weight swings the assembly, which uncovers a hidden port and dispenses seeds into the tray below. It is carefully balanced so that even lighter birds can trigger the mechanism—once they figure out the trick! Key Features: Easy Printing & Assembly: Designed to be printed in modular parts for a simple, support-friendly, and hassle-free build. Adjustable Counterweight: The moving pendulum includes a hollow cylinder. You can easily fill it with sand to perfectly calibrate the weight and sensitivity for the specific birds in your yard. Upcycled Seed Hopper: Features a built-in adapter compatible with standard PET/PETG bottles, letting you easily reuse a common water or soda bottle as your seed reservoir.
