Themometer Hygrometer Holder

This is a holder for the round EEEKit Hygrometer Thermometer Digital LCD or a hygrometer/thermometers with a similar design found on Amazon.

I purchased two batches of the same type of hygrometer/thermometer several years apart. There seem to be some minor changes made to the hygrometer design by the manufacturer.

To accommodate these slight changes, I made two versions of the housing. One has a thicker lip on the inside that holds the hygrometer snug but makes installation, removal, and rotation more difficult.

The thinner lip version allows for easier installation and removal of the hygrometer from the housing. While the hygrometer rotates easier in the housing it tends to rattle if you handle it.

The design was intended to be used in two ways, freestanding on a table and mounted to a surface.

The design includes an optional removable base plate which gives it a more stable foot to use as a freestanding tabletop hygrometer.
