Simple demountable ¼" (standard tripod, but reversed) tripod base for supporting double-ended strobe mounts, etc. The cover image shows it supporting a [Makers Making Change](https://www.makersmakingchange.com/) [LipSync](https://www.makersmakingchange.com/project/lipsync/) cutaway demo unit mounted on a short strobe stand in preparation for a build event .The other image shows version 2, which was much smaller.
You'll also need:
* ¼-20 4-lobed T-nut. These are meant for building furniture, but [ATMakers](http://atmakers.org/) discovered they fit into 3D-printed parts to make a simple tripod mount.
* (optional) anti-skid bumpers/rubber feet.
This is not a tremendously strong support. It was originally made because the Neewer brand clamp we were using to demo the LipSync didn't fit on most maker event tables.
**Update, 2020-01** — updated tolerances, as they were too slack for a properly calibrated machine
