I needed some air vents for a basement area so these were designed to fit a 6 inch round hole cut. These have threads and a retaining ring to make installing and replacement easy. You will need access to the back as the retaining ring threads on the back and hold the grill vent in place. This will work for up to a 3/4 inch thick wall. (mine was 1/2 drywall).
