Threaded Ring & Cap

A multiple-threaded (threefold) ring that fits onto a 1_1/2" Plexiglas tube... and a knurled cap equally threaded that neatly fits it. Two of these and a piece of tube make an enclosure for whatever you like. The threefold thread allows for open/close in one turn of the hand Designed as a little challenge for 3D printing... A variant of the male part has a solid bottom to make a closed box for grandma's pills :-) That one, btw., is a bit tighter (+.05mm in diameter) and fits the cap even better. For use as a tube cap it has a circular breakout mark on the bottom. Sorry for the misleading file names ... the thread is *not* a metric standard (afaik), as it would be if it were single-fold (which it was when I started working on it, but it needed three turns of the hand to open/close - a single-turn threefold thread appeared to be much more elegant).
