This is a small and convenient tool to release the clips on throttle and control cables used on most lawn and garden equipment.
Most cables are "right there" and easy to get to so you can just use a pair of needle nose pliers. However, this tool shines when trying to release a cable in tight areas like on big wheel string trimmers, brush mowers or riding mower blade engagement cables connected under the dash and behind the fuel tank. .
To use:
1. Pass cable through slit on front of tool.
2. Gently pull on cable jacket.
3. While pulling, push tool over clips to release cable.
