(UPDATE: Uploaded higher-res .STL file. FreeCAD decided to export using low-poly meshing for some reason.)
While the ThurstMaster FCS was the absolute pinnacle of joysticks until the ThrustMaster FLCS (no other joystick ever came close in quality), there was one flaw - the plastic ring that holds the rubber boot in place was prone to cracking over time. Literally every other part was made of metal, and as such this was the weak point. Sadly, ThrustMaster is long gone (Guillemot bought them, then immediately dismantled the entire company, taking only the name and some CAD files), so replacement parts are impossible to obtain. Since old-school analog joysticks are only used by retro game enthusiast, old nerds (ahem), and classic gaming historians, there isn't much demand for aftermarket parts. Enter, 3D printing...
The design is made using measurements taken directly from the original part, and tested on actual hardware. Suggest using ABS/ASA and a vapor bath to make a same-l
