After cutting my thumb a few times i've been aiming to try my luck on drawing up files to make a thumb protector. This is my rendition of a thumb anvil, THIMBLE! Works great and can't believe i got the angles about right. Angles just are't my thing!
The little clips printed remarkable, them being so small. The trick is SLOW PRINTING! I used 20mm/s and 30mm/s on the anvil with 15 second minimum layer time. Printed both clips and anvil at the same time with Simplify3D. Used different speed for each. Print the clips with something else or as i did and they should do fine printed slow. It only slowed down for the very last few layers of the round top part. .I used .3 layer, as you can see in picture i have some wobble problems, yet it gets me by.
I'm sure there are thousands of ways to hold the rubber band on, but wanted simple print with no support, rubber band want come off and a quick CAD drawing. Anyone find a better way with these standards please share.
I was lucky on the
