I recently broke my thumb tip and found a splint on here which was good, but had a couple of issues as follows:
1. Too small. The original's instructions said to simply scale it up, which I did, only to discover there were some breaks in the design that were mostly unimportant at the original scale, but which were magnified when scaled up, resulting in broken print. I have patched these gaps and it should now scale OK.
2. Sharp corners on the outside edge, which caused unpleasant scratching. I have attempted to smooth these.
3. After wearing it for some hours, the skin became white and puffy, due to lack of airflow. I added a number of breather holes which addresses this issue.
Please note that I am only using Tinkercad for these tweaks, and they are not perfect. Ideally I would remake it from scratch in something like Fusion, but I am still learning to use that and I needed something quick and easy. Feel free to go ahead and remix it as you see fit.
