Thunder Tank Turret Base

The stock Turret base takes up too much room. This is a simple more low profile version.

To install: Remove the 4 screws for the round base from under the tank. Remove the 4 screws from the round base to separate it. Remove the 1 screw from the turret lower telescoping base to separate it and remove from the base. Reassemble the gun turret to the lower telescoping base with the screw and slide it into the new base.

The shaft lock tab part has a hole but you may need to tap it to fit your screw size. Screw the shaft lock tab in place.
Slide the "Base Stand" c-clip in from the narrow top of the turret and slide it down past the first top notch, to the bottom notch and clip it in place.

Screw the base into the tank using 4 of the original screws.

By slightly tipping/flexing the lock tab back, you can unclip the sliding turret from the notch.
The c-clip base can spread a little to unclip and slide up if needed.
