Tie Buddy

This is quite a simple model but it has been a lifesaver many times. Instead of my tie flapping in the wind or having it at an awkward angle while sitting, this little guy always kept my tie tamed against such forces. As a religious man going to church every week or as a missionary for my church, this Tie Buddy has helped me keep my sanity while staying nice.

I took inspiration for this model from a pack that I bought a while ago but those all broke or got lost. They were made out of a silicone rubber that could be easily deformed if pulled the wrong way. So I decided to take matters into my own hands. With the power of 3D printing, I decided that I needed to create my own version out of TPU. This super strong filament is exactly what this design needs.

I designed this Tie Buddy to be compatible with most shirts with different size buttons and different distances between the buttons. The maximum distance for this Tie Buddy is 3.6 inches or 91 millimeters. Button distances shorter
