As a software engineer, I run and maintain a bare-metal Kubernetes cluster on my mini PCs. I used to stack them on top of each other, and they would get extremely hot under heavy loads because there was almost no room for airflow. I’ve always wanted a proper server rack to solve the cooling problem for my mini PCs. I know I could buy a standard 1U rack, but those aren’t really designed for a use case like this. I also looked at many existing 3D-printed server rack projects, but none of them fully met my needs. So I decided to build one myself. After countless revisions, I’m thrilled to finally announce TinyRack – a modular mini server rack! It doesn't require any hardware (except for the leveler, but it's optional). You can read my blog article to learn more about it. The design is inspired by wire shelving racks. I aimed to make it capable of carrying as much vertical load as possible while keeping it extremely modular, so you can build whatever size server rack fits your need
