Tip Up Hook Binder

I was using rubber bands to hold the hook on my wood stick tip up reel, but the rubber bands get old and break. So I drew this up on Sketchup and it seems to work fine. Print out two then cut a piece of 1/8" shock cord 6 1/2" long tie knots in the ends (and singe them with a lighter), then super glue two pieces together with the cord going through.
