Tire Tread Maker

This is a forensics classroom tool designed to create simulated tire impressions for analysis without the need for real tires needing to be utilized. Through use of this tool, forensics teachers will be able to teach students about tire impressions and how to analyze this critical portion of forensic investigation. Provided are four different tread patterns which are easily interchangeable with the device by sliding one tread out and inserting another in its place. The treads slide in from only the open side of the rolling tool making it simple and secure for use. This tool can also be used on any soft malleable surface or substance to create reliable impressions. Due to printer restrictions, these patterns are not perfect replications of actual tire size and of our own design, thus not recognized by any official tire manufacturers.
