This tool is to align the heat sink onto the stepper driver so its nice and neat.
Pictured is my BTT TMC2209 v1.2. I have removed the 3 vertical pins that are for legacy boards that require jumpers for SPI connection as i do not need these because i am using a SKR board that has jumpers.
STP_Alignment_1-8 - has a 1.8mm gap for the stepper pins
STP_Alignment_2 - 2mm gap for stepper pins

Print the file thats best for your tolerances, desing files are included do what you wish with them this took me less than 30min start to finish +30min print time.
Method
Place the stepper driver into the tool
The heat sink is slightly slimmer than the guide tool so use layers of sticky tape evenly each side to align squarly onto the stepper. Spend a little time to dry fit to get it right the first time.
Remove heat sink adhesion protector and apply pressuer for 60 seconds.
