Tom Cat, a cartoon character from the "Tom and Jerry" series of short films created by Hanna and Barbera for MGM.
This is a onepiece version of Tom Cat based on my multi-part Tom Cat model that I've previously posted.
Since I do not have an SLA printer, I teamed up with maker Cults maker 93SOL (Adam) to do the printing and painting.
I converted my multi-part model to a onepiece model for SLA and FDM printing. Adam then proceeded as follows:
1 - Resized the model for his printer to 65% scale.
2 - Printed him hollow with 1.5mm thick walls and dug holes in the slicer in both feet and directly underneath him between his legs (see picture section). This let’s all the un-cured resin drain out of the model and helps reduce suction while printing.
3 - Used heavy supports.
4 - Adam suggested making the whiskers a bit thicker to make support removal easier. The model posted here has the thicker whiskers.
