I thought to myself, I don't need a reusable tomato cage while in school. I only need one to last as long as the plant and then I'd like to potentially have it bio-degrade.

So I decided to 3D print a tomato cage in PLA. I opted to do this since I'll be moving back to home for summer and having a smaller moving footprint was desirable, I wanted to see the potential biodegradability of PLA and I wanted a modular design that could expand as the plant needed.

The seating holes in the design are meant to be a bit snug, but shouldn't require much force to put them in.

The difference in size for the leg and the seating hole is .3mm on the diameter. This was the closest fit I could make a slight friction fit but with little force needed to insert. 5.1mm diameter hole, 4.8mm diameter leg.

I really had fun making this. I hope someone else gets the chance to also!
