Top Corner Spool Mount

UPDATE 08/04/2020;

I have updated my design with the "spool holder MK-II" it now has wings that stop it from moving side to side on the printer as well as a recess for the stock screw and bolt that holds it to the top of the printer.


I MADE A THING!..... this is my first upload.... be gentle....

Originally I had mounted the spool holder directly to the side of the Ender 3 Pro, this however limited the height of my prints. I have yet to print something that uses the full height of my Ender 3 but I did not want to limit myself so I came up with this design...

basically it fixes to the top corner of the Ender 3 frame via one of the stock bolts with the rectangular nut and in order to fix the spool holder itself to the PLA piece, you will need a couple of M4 nuts and 4*8 bolts.

this "mod" should also ease the curvature of the filament as it enters the bowden tube
