Tower Hydroponic Light Module Part1 This module is not just a “light on top” — it’s a fully functional section that replaces the standard top cover of a hydroponic tower. It’s designed as part of a modular system where mechanics, lighting, and control are logically separated. This part focuses on the structure and lighting, while the controller will be covered in the next part. Concept The main idea was to create a convenient, serviceable, and flexible lighting solution that doesn’t get in the way. The module is fully removable — it comes off together with all wiring, without any hassle. This is important, because accessing the reservoir, refilling nutrients, and general maintenance shouldn’t turn into a struggle. The module is fully sealed, which is critical in hydroponics. Humidity, condensation, and splashes must not get inside. Lighting The system uses dual-channel lighting, which will later be controlled by a custom controller. This allows flexible spectrum tuning and different operating modes (vegetative, flowering, or mixed scenarios). After testing multiple designs, I settled on a “spider-like” layout using flexible light arms. This turned out to be the most practical solution: easily adjustable as plants grow does not block access to the tower provides even light distribution This approach is far more convenient than rigid frames or ring-style lights. Controller (Important Note) The stock controller that came with the Chinese light is the weakest part: very basic incorrect timing logic (including maximum light duration limits) It was never intended to be used. The plan is to use a custom controller with: Wi-Fi and web interface dual-channel light control irrigation control nutrient solution temperature monitoring optional external fan control (ventilation / cooling) This will be covered in a separate part, with more advanced logic and features. Construction and Materials The mounts for the light profiles are printed in polycarbonate. In reality, there’s no
