This is a toy treasure chest which kids love or could be a nifty little storage container.

In the photos, I included a matchbox to try and give some perspective, but I don't think it was very clear. The base of the box is 120mm x 80mm x 80mm high and the domed lid adds about 30mm onto the height.

What is not in the photos but is in the STLs is a 4mm x 10mm deep hole in the lip of the base which aligns with a hole in the lip of the lid. This allows you to glue in a 4mm diameter rare earth magnet in either side, which is a pretty nifty latch solution that can't get broken easily.

The holes in the hinges are 3.1mm diameter, so that a 3mm round bar or piece of wire can work well as the hinge mechanism. In the photos you'll see I used 50mm wire nails that worked fine, they just need to be trimmed and then a spot of glue added so they don't work their way out.

My 8-year-old son asked for this, and when it came out so well the other two demanded their own. Its a really easy print
