I've put this set of frame sliders on a few of my bikes and now when my girlfriend is about to start riding I though I'd make a protector protector. This is to have a changable outer shell and maybe save it by giving it a few mm extra to stop on if she fall over :)
Recommended print settings:
0,3mm first layer, 0,2mm for the rest
3 walls
7 layer top, 7 layer bottom
30% of your favorite infill, I use Cross Hatch
Print extra slow first layer and outer walls for that glossy look
Print hot for good bonding and looks
Theese settings gives a bit of cushing for those stand-still-tipovers that most of us will do a couple of times in our riding careers :)
Install frame protector kit (I use loctite on the two fastening nuts) have the printed protectors at body temperature or more, press the prints on. You may have to hold a rag cloth on and give them a wack with a hammer :)
This is the frame slider kit, well, not so much sliders, more tip-over-protector: https://www.ebay.com/itm/40545424920
