Track/XC Spike Container

Anyone who ran track or cross country in high school will immediately recognize this shape and, for many, I'm sure it will induce flashbacks of running through the mud or around the oval. I found an unused spike lying around and designed an (almost) exact replica of it, and decided to turn it into a container. It works perfectly for holding pills, small items, or even old spikes that are no longer in your racing shoes... The one in the image is the small version, which can't hold much, so if you plan to put a significant amount of anything in here I'd go with the large one. The small one works well as a coat hanger, and I included a version of the body/base with a hole for a screw in it, and the small cap doesn't need to be changed. Just screw the bottom into the wall (a wall anchor is a good idea) and then screw in the cap. This would be a cool gift for a runner in your life, and I'm sure they'd crack a smile at the sight of this often overlooked yet iconic piece of running gear.
