Traffic Control Assembly Final

With this project I attempted to make a roundabout with a structure similar to the roundabout at St. Armands Circle in Sarasota. I first designed the roadways and parking spot, I used tools such as the line, circle, and spline tools to create the round about sketch. I also used google earth to measure dimensions for the roundabout to make it as accurate as possible to St. Armands Circle. Next I made the walkways, Sidewalks and crosswalks. I then built a Motel style building with a pool, trying to fit the theme of tourist Sarasota. Then I worked on small details like parking meters infront of parking spots, yield signs for the roundabout, benches, and trash cans. After finishing the small details I began working on the landscaping. I first design the trees using polygons and extruding them with the draft feature to replicate branches. I then used sphere to try and make a roundish look to the trees and finish them with appropriate coloring and textures. I finished the landscaping with making bushes in big pots to place around the circles grassy areas. For seating I made benches for people to sit on around all the long walkways. The final traffic aspect to this project was making a bike lane which wraps around the main center circle so bikers dont have to share the lane with vehicle traffic. The final part to this project was the center piece, the water fall.
