Prototype/Concept for utilizing 1/2" (trade size) x 10" length EMT (cut to 8' for my application) for a trailer bed on a harbor freight folding trailer (or any other trailer you can mount to by drilling into a flat portion of the metal framing) Utilizes #8-32 x 1 -1/4" truss head machine screws, locking nuts, and 1¢ washers.

Drastically reduces weight of trailer bed and is a rigid material if properly supported underneath as well as in a grid pattern as shown in the photos.

Note: The gaps may not be feasible for all hauling applications (ie...anything with narrow wheels likely will be useless or have to be dragged across to get onto the trailer) However the CAD files are included for anyone to modify (these are simple design models).

This concept can also be used vertically to create a unique metal fencing I think. (mount to a 4x4 or similar fence post)

Ultimately I wanted a metal trailer bed instead of using wood so I came up with this idea, it was time consuming but pretty strai
