This is a visor for a face shield that can be made using the supplied 3d printed parts and overhead/inkjet transparencies. Since the rise of what is know as the COVID-19/Corona Virus, face shields are becoming quite scarce within the medical community. This design is an attempt to help fill this supply gap with cheap commonly available materials.
TEST PIECE: Print the test piece first to make sure the "gap" used to hold transparency paper prints open without being obstructed. Also print a few pegs to make sure they fit in the shield retention holes well, and stay in place.
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Print out the frame (File name is face-shield-frame-v2.stl) and four pegs.
2. You *may* need to use an x-acto knife to gently cut/snap any very slightly fused plastic in the gaps that hold the transparency in place.
3. Insert a piece of 8.5x11 or A4 transparency paper into the frame slots. Use a marker to mark where the holes in the arms of the frame line up with the transparency.
