This was a 3D scan of a local oak tree in my area using the EVA light scanner. It was processed within Artec Studio and then exported as a binary STL to Meshmixer. I was able to create the back panel and clean up the model completely within Meshmixer.

This Project #1 – Forest Conservation Education is not only important to understand but vital for all life on our planet. Discovering the different types of trees in your community helps us establish awareness, and care about their importance to our environment.

This panel project is a great team-building project that will not only educate the students about the importance of forest conservation but teach them how to support each other to get the project done. The panels are designed to be mounted on a panel such as MDF or press wood.

You can stand them up and create mini-talking points out of flash-cards.
