Tree Lamp

We are lucky. For the last century every one of us can witness one of the biggest development of technology in the history of mankind. From creating computers, through sending humans to the moon, to creating and using bionic limbs. These days we have so many incredible ways of designing and manufacturing that possibilities of what we can create are almost endless. Unfortunately in all this life in a hurry and newer and newer innovations we often forgot what we own it all to. And that’s nature. I love long walk with my dog through the forest and bicycle tours on a sunny day. I love watching fields and forests bathed in sunlight. I’d like people to start to notice all this beauty of our world and really start to appreciate it before (and hopefully not) scenario of all apocalyptic movies will come true and the only chance to see living colorful flowers or amazing animal species will be watching them in TV. I think that straight contact with nature is very important and I was thinking about the design, which can remind us about it. I created a piece of art, which takes form of a small lamp. The inspiration for this design was the way sun shines through the tree branches on a sunny day. The lamp has simple and universal form which helps it fit in basically every interior design style. Color and size can be individually matched to the client concept so the design can be personalized. Lamp can be hold individually, or can be joined with others and create a little “forest”. This way everyone can hold a little piece of nature in their house. As you can see on the photos the model is printable, it was printed by FDM method. The material I used was ABS. Measurements of the model were reduced due to material saving. Manufacturing: 3D printing method which I chose is FDM (Fused Deposition Modelling).
