Trefoil Candy Knot

This model is part of a series of Candy Knots – because Canes are boring. Files are provided for dual colour printing.

Not gonna lie, these models are tricky to print. In order of difficulty:

Trefoil Candy Knot (Difficult): The trefoil is a nice standard, symmetrical knot. Print as oriented, generate tree supports under the arches.

Tritangentless Candy Knot (More difficult): “Tritangentless” means there is no orientation in which there are three points touching the ground at the same time. As a result, this model will roll and is also known as “Morten’s Rolling Knot.” Print as oriented, generate tree supports under the arches.

Cinquefoil Candy Knot (Most difficult): Cinquefoil knots are beautiful but nearly impossible to print. If you decide to take this one on, I recommend orienting it on its side and generating tree supports under the arches.
