Trekking Pole Tip Covers

TPU covers designed to protect other gear from Black Diamond trekking poles with carbide Flex Tips, or any trekking poles that taper down to 10.5 mm before narrowing to the carbide tip. For other trekking pole designs, measure the diameter of the tip where these covers will grip and scale accordingly.

I made these for spring climbing on Mt St Helens. I needed to use carbide trekking pole tips for the consolidated snow I would be hiking on, and I wanted covers so I could stow my trekking poles completely inside my pack while glissading and prevent the carbide tips from tearing a hole in my puffy or the pack itself. These covers are a faster, easier alternative to just unscrewing the carbide Flex Tips and stowing them separately, and the covers can be adapted to trekking poles or ski poles with non-removable tips.
