This is the basic design that I based this model on. Trestle bridges like this were common across the American landscape in the early days of the railroads. I was very excited to see how well it turned out when I used cedar wood PLA.I originally designed this bridge for a model railway with Bachmann EZ track. It's HO scale and I made a curved and straight version of the bridge. You can make it as long or short as you would like by adding sections. Like I said, I used cedar wood PLA so that I wouldn't have to paint the model. If you use the wood PLA, just glue it together with your choice of super glue or epoxy. I used Gorilla fast dry gel and that seemed to work very well. I have not actually assembled the straight version of the bridge, only the curved version. seeing how the straight version has less parts, however, it is much easier to assemble so you shouldn't have any trouble. I included a photo of the curved version of the bridge assembled in my layout so that you can get an idea of how the finished version looks. The curved version is available for free to make as well if you need a turn in your track. Also, you can like curves and straight trestle pieces together depending on what path you'd like it to follow.If you have trouble assembling the trestle, let me know and I'll be glad to help.
