This is my model of a triceratops! Triceratops lived 66 million years ago in the Cretaceous period, and was a herbivore. The notable horns and frill were likely used for courtship display and territory disputes, but also could have been used in a defensive manner. Triceratops were contemporary with Tyrannosaurus, as evidenced by triceratops fossils marked by injuries consistent with Tyrannosaur bites. While no triceratops skin samples have been found that I know of, I chose the colors for this model based on other large non-avian dinosaurs, which have been found to have colors ranging through browns, tans, oranges, and dark reds. The model should print well with the auto tree supports, and I've also added pictures of the model without AMS for those who want to see what it looks like printed in a single color.I took this model's head and made a mounted triceratops fridge magnet in the style of a trophy mount, which can be found on my profile!
