I have a drain that gets easily overwhelmed. I designed this drain grate for it. The spokes are oriented to help induce a whirlpool in the style of the “turbo funnel” models. The outside diameter is 120mm or about 4-¾". You can scale it up or down to whatever you desire for your project. Besides it looks cooler than the home depot ones anyway. This design can be mirrored as well if you have a drain that prefers a whirlpool in the other direction. Many plastics like PLA or Nylon are more dense than water, however infill will make them float. If you want this grate to stay in place without being mechanically held in it needs to be printed solid or with greater than 70% infill so it doesn't float.
