They burrow underground in the warmer months as they are not too fond of the warmer climate. When the winter comes they come to the surface and start hunting for food. Their primary diet is fish and they are decent swimmers. They use their sharp claws to pierce ice sheets to get at the water underneath. They can then dive underneath and spear their prey with their claws.
