The TwistFish is happiest, like a real fish, when it has neutral buoyancy. The original was drawn to be printed on a Stratasys machine which uses only ABS material. ABS is much lighter than PLA. To compensate for this, I have added air chambers and turned the eyes into little floats. Setting the infill low or to zero helps keep it lighter too. In order to keep the air chambers full of air and not water you should paint the parts.
Since there are no flat surfaces, so orienting the parts is a compromise. I have included the parts in their normal positions and in the attitude I used for printing.
You will have to make the shaft that attaches the rubber band to the tail. I used .060in welding rod. Not the best choice. Aluminum would be better or smaller gauge steel, but there just wasn't anything else around. You will drill out the pilot holes to match the material you use. Use a couple of the tiniest washers you can find to go between the prop and fish. Or, if you want to get fancy,
