This is a very basic stand for the much loved Harbor Freight 7 function digital multimeter. The design was especially simple because I re-used the stand portion from replacement stand I made last week for the Velleman DVM850BL meter.
Before making this, I did a quick search on Thingiverse to see if it had been done, and I did find a handful of stationary stands, and a couple tilting stands. A lot of people did some great work for these things, however, IMO, everything I saw was either an over-kill of a design, or looked too flimsy to be knocked around.
This model prints quickly, uses little material, and snaps solidly into the screw holes on the backside of these meters. It attaches and is assembled by hand, however, I designed the retainer to be pushed out by loosening the screws holding the meter together. The retainer has through-holes for accessing the screws, which, when loosened, will push either side of the retainer out.
Assembly is simple. Push the retainer throug
