Undesign

“Undesign” is a series of products from an online campaign to raise design awareness in the general public. The series features a set of glasses designs and a set of pushpin designs. They represent the design process of industrial products. Glasses and pushpins are designs that have been passed down from generations, and they still retained their classic forms. Over time, we often take these brilliant design decisions for granted. By performing “undesign” procedures on these objects, attention is drawn to the details that no one really notice in day to day life, even people who encounter these things every day. For example, the bents at the end of glasses prevent them from sliding down user’s face and the flat plain at the end of the pushpin eases the pressure on user’s finger when applied. The series follow the procedures of focusing on the core function of the product, adding to it and propose new ways to solve the same problems that it was tackling. T
