Universal Filament Filter

This practical and easy-to-print device provides an effective solution for two common challenges in filament-based 3D printers: dust accumulation and friction.
A sponge is used to remove dust particles from the filament, preventing them from clogging the extruder.
Additionally, by applying a few drops of regular mineral oil to the sponge, the filament is gently lubricated as it passes through. This reduces the strain on the extruder motor, improving its efficiency.
Lubrication is particularly beneficial when the filament needs to travel through long tubes before reaching the extruder. It also helps minimize friction inside the extruder, especially below the drive gear, where the filament is compressed on its way to the hot end.
