Universal Filament Spool Holder

Prevent under extrusion and increase print quality on Ender 3 with this low resistance filament holder.

Universal filament spool holder. Uses 4 standard skateboard bearings to let the spool spin with almost no resistance. Can be positioned anywhere on a tabletop or desk near the printer. Works best with side loading printers like the Ender 3. Works for any width filaments spools as the sliders can be positioned under the edges of the spool regardless of the width of the full spool.

Instructions:
Print 4 copies of Filament_Spool_Holder.stl and snap them together around the bearings. Optionally print 4 copies of FilamentHolderPin.stl to insert in top holes and prevent separation if the friction fit is not strong enough.

Bearings:
*NOTE* this requires 4 bearings that are not printed. I used standard skateboard bearings with measurements: 8mm x 22mm x 7mm. I found the following pack on Amazon to be a great value for many 3D printed projects:
