Universal Joint

This is a model of universal joint designed in SOLIDWORKS software. The files of each and every part and an assembly file is also attached to it. A universal joint, often abbreviated as U-joint, is a mechanical component that allows for the transfer of rotational motion between shafts that are not aligned in a straight line. It is commonly used in various applications such as vehicles and machinery to accommodate changes in the angle between connected shafts, thus providing flexibility and smooth operation. The U-joint consists of two yokes connected by a cross-shaped component called a spider, which enables the shafts to rotate at different angles while maintaining power transmission. This design helps to reduce vibration and wear, improving the overall efficiency and longevity of the machinery or vehicle in which it is used.
