I am restoring an old Makerbot Replicator 2 printer. One of the things it needs are new feet. It's lost 3 of the 4. I can still buy them from Makerbot but at $6 each, for what is essentially a Plastidip foot, I decided to make my own.
This design is how I think Makerbot should have done it. It fits the leg firmly and is held on with friction. I've given it enough height that it fits firmly and stays put. I've also added a good support area to give a place to fit a rubber pad which will provide plenty of grip on my workbench.
Find four (4) 1" adhesive rubber pads at your local big-box hardware store and stick them to the bottom of these feet.
