I was having trouble with part strength and kept breaking the locking tabs on the handle and gear insert pieces so I redesigned those as Print in Place assemblies. If your printer is not tuned to print PIP parts then don't just download and start printing. Spend some time reading about PIP settings and get your printer ready to do it.
You can print the whole thing without support, however, you may want to use Support Blocker when printing the base so the upper latch prints well, see picture.
I printed the gears and the tri-key at 100% infill for strength and the rest at 30% infill.
I made two tubes for quarters as that's what I most often have in my pocket.
12/31/22 - Updates
- Changed the seat of the crank handle to be a flat base. the tri-key was over stressed by the gap. Also updated the tri-key by removing its' shoulder. Now the little gear and the crank seat will be in contact when glued together making a much stronger joint.
