Adjustable base for USB Digital Microscope with a 7-1/2" adjustment range. Base is designed using two 1/2" diameter steel rods. A 'whistlestop' can be ground on each end of the rods to allow the #10-24 setscrews to lock rods into position. I mounted the unit to a piece of aluminum I had in the shop, but it could be mounted to a piece of wood as well.

All mounting holes are modeled with #10-24 threads. I ran a #10-24 tap into each hole to clean up before assembly, The shaft that holds gear is threaded on end with #10-24, and a screw with washer should be inserted to lock shaft in place.

The scope mounting clip allows quick removal of the scope if it is needed to be held by hand for larger objects.
